Get ready for a heartwarming holiday event that's as sweet as it is charitable! Onyx Fitness is thrilled to present its inaugural Holiday Charity Bake Sale Challenge, and they're calling on our tight-knit community to join in this delightful & scrumptious fundraising competition.
This year, our combined efforts will be dedicated to supporting Jaida's Fight, a local 12-year-old girl who's bravely battling brain cancer. Jaida's journey has been one of strength and resilience, from brain surgery to rounds of radiation and chemotherapy. Despite her challenges, she continues to shine brightly, inspiring all who know her.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 9th, from 10 AM to 1 PM, as the bake sale takes center stage at Onyx Fitness. All community members are invited to participate in this friendly challenge for a worthy cause, free of charge. Entrants will need to register their delectable creations in one of four categories: Cookies and Balls, Brownies and Squares, Cupcakes and Pastries, or "Surprise Us" Goodies. Judges will select winners based on both taste and presentation, with cash prizes of $75 reserved for the "best of" each category in the professional and amateur divisions.
To ensure the fundraiser's success, each baker is kindly requested to bring at least 2 dozen of their delectable treats. It's a delicious way to support a local family in our close-knit Essex community while savoring the goodness of homemade delights. Join us in making this holiday season extra special and spread some sweetness in support of Jaida's Fight.

Presented by the Town of Essex Arts Culture and Tourism (ACT) Committee in collaboration with the Essex Centre BIA, our Holiday Lights Tour Contest is here to ignite your festive spirit!
Get ready to witness the most dazzling holiday displays as residents and business owners put their best lights forward. These brilliant properties will be available on an interactive map, allowing you to embark on a magical self-guided tour of these outstanding light shows. Stay tuned for submission details!

Recognized by the Essex Centre BIA, we've got some exciting categories for you to nominate your favorite displays:
Toyland Award: Celebrating the best use of animation and inflatables for the young at heart.
Griswold Award: Recognizing the most brilliant use of lighting in town.
Classic Christmas: Honoring the finest display of traditional decor.

They've emerged stronger, sharing their love for music and fostering a vibrant musical culture within Essex.

Name a Snowplow in Essex!
Submission Period: November 1 - November 26 Get ready, Essex residents! It's time to get creative and name our snowplows for the winter season. Share your suggestions through our official form and let your imagination run wild!
Voting Period: December 4 - December 10 Once submissions close, it's time to vote for your favorites. The top 3 names with the most votes will be chosen as our snowplows' official names.

Open to Town of Essex residents.
Multiple entries are encouraged!
On December 11, 2023, we'll announce the winning names on our website and social media. Join us in giving our snowplows fantastic names for the winter ahead!
