Santa’s Village Rides!
2pm-6pm: Come Ride the Polar Express Train Sponsored by the Optimist Club of Essex
The Loading Area is located in the Train Station Parking Lot
Hop on our version of the "Polar Express" train, a special trackless train. Since this is our most popular Santa Village experience, we have two trains coming this year! You and your friends will be in for a treat as you journey through Santa’s Village & Market, taking in the sights and spreading holiday cheer. And guess what? This ride is free thanks to our sponsor. This event is LOCATED NEXT TO THE HISTORIC TRAIN STATION (AKA Santa’s Workshop)
Join us from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM for a magical ride on the brand-new Northstar Plumbing Ferris Wheel! Children will be safely secured in fully caged gondolas as they soar 12 feet into the air, offering a delightful view of Santa’s Village and Market. With a maximum capacity of 20 children and a height restriction of 42 inches, this enchanting ride promises fun and safety for all our young visitors. Don’t miss out on this exciting new addition to our festive lineup!
230pm-530pm: Horse Carriage Ride Returns Sponsored by the St. Clair College Alumni Association
Join us from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM for the highly anticipated return of the horse carriage ride at Santa's Village & Market! The loading and unloading area is conveniently located at the corner of Talbot and Wilson.
This free ride is offered throughout Santa's Village & Market, made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship of the St. Clair College Alumni Association. Their dedication to our community helps ensure that families can enjoy events like these at no cost. A heartfelt thank you to the Alumni Association for paying it forward!
This ride is incredibly popular, so please expect longer lineups. Also, note that the rides will conclude promptly at 5:30 PM as we prepare for the exciting Santa Claus Parade.

Santa's arriving around 230pm at the Historical Essex Train Station, located at 87 Station Street in Heritage Park Gardens (Santa's Village). The line starts at the front doors and exits out the back. Santa's got special gifts, so don't forget your camera for photos (we do not have a photographer)!
